In Matthew 25:34-40, in the Judgement of Nations, six specific Works of Mercy are mentioned. The seventh and last Work of Mercy, burying the dead, comes from the Book of Tobit.
The stole depicts the following:
To feed the hungry
To give drink to the thirsty
To clothe the naked
To harbour the harbourless (presently interpreted as 'Shelter the Homeless')
To visit the sick
To ransom the captive (presently interpreted as 'Visit the Imprisoned')
To bury the dead
